Main Office Positions

Public Relations/Communications Internship

 

Description

 

Ramp Global Missions (RGM) is a 501 (c) (3) organization whose purpose is to reach, serve, and love people from the local community to the far reaches of the world.  We are in the process of establishing mission sites in multiple countries, and mission bases within the United States.  We are looking for a self motivated and creative individual to assist in the various communication and public relations needs for a non profit organization.  The intern who would like to fill this position needs to have a drive to help develop a newer organization with his/her skills.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Monitor all forms of media

  • Write press releases and other materials

  • Help draft communications for sponsors/donors

  • Assist with mailings and print productions

  • Advertising for fundraising events

 

Requirements

 

Students applying for this internship must have strong communication skills and should be majoring in Public Relations, Communications, Advertising, or Marketing.  Applicants should have superior attention to detail, and excellent writing skills, as well as a solid understanding of social media.  Only students with proficient computer skills should apply.

 

Event Management/Non-Profit Fundraising Intern

Description

 

Ramp Global Missions (RGM) is a 501 (c) (3) organization whose purpose is to reach, serve, and love people from the local community to the far reaches of the world.  We are in the process of establishing mission sites in multiple countries, and mission bases within the United States.  We are looking for a self-motivated and creative individual to help plan and manage our various fundraising events we hold throughout the year.  Our largest fundraising events are two galas held in Lynchburg and New York in December.  We need someone who will help August through December with finalizing the various details of this event, as well as offering new and fresh ideas for fundraising events for the following year.  The individual in this position must be passionate about the mission of RGM.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Planning, coordination, and manage various RGM events

  • Coordination with event sponsors

  • Helping manage event budgets

  • Working with the RGM team to plan and execute all logistical items for the Annual Missions Gala

  • Helping coordinate staffing and volunteers at various fundraising events

Requirements

 

Individuals applying for this internship must be able to work independently, as well as part of a team.  Suggested majors of those applying are Business Marketing, Communication, and Non-Profit administration, Non. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills are required.  Applicants for this intern position must be comfortable with engaging with various sectors of the community, to help in the relationship building necessary for non-profit fundraising.

Community Partnership Advocate

Description

 

Ramp Global Missions (RGM) is a 501 (c) (3) organization whose purpose is to reach, serve, and love people from the local community to the far reaches of the world.  We are in the process of establishing mission sites in multiple countries, and mission bases within the United States.  We are looking for a self-motivated and creative individual to help plan and manage community outreach programs for the sake of Christ.   These programs will bring the light of Christ, career opportunities, specialized training, and community focused initiates to each designated area.  

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Conduct research for communities and develop plans that will better each neighborhood educationally, socially, financially, and spiritually.

  • Schedule, train, and work with volunteers to ensure community programs are properly staffed

  • Develop budgets for planned programs

  • Communicate with other team members to creatively develop launch campaigns as well funding for programs

Requirements

 

Individuals applying for this position must be able to work independently, as well as part of a team.  Strong leadership and communication skills are required for this position.  Candidate must complete a DISC personality profile.  A valid driver’s license and transportation is REQUIRED.   Sensitivity to different cultures and traditions are a must.  Suggested majors of those applying are Social services: Community Development, Organizational Leadership, and Missions.

Dale Jackson Elevate Program Positions

DJEP is looking for a self-motivated and creative individual to assist in the various social media and startegic communication needs for a non-profit organization.  The intern who would like to fill this position needs to have a drive to help take a newer organization to the next level with his/her skills.

Marketing/Advertising Internship

 

Description

 

The Dale Jackson Elevate Program is an adult education and career readiness community program whose purpose is to reach, serve, and love people in the city of Lynchburg and surrounding areas who desire to earn their GED and go to a new level professionally and educationally. We seek an intern who has a passion for our mission and wants to contribute to the marketing plan in order to grow this non-profit community program.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Help develop marketing materials and plan for the program

  • Graphic Design work

  • Work with the social media intern on advertising and marketing pieces

 

Requirements

 

Students applying for this internship must have strong communication skills and should be majoring in Business Management, Marketing, or Advertising.  Applicants should have understanding of marketing practices and graphic design experience.  Must be detail oriented, and have strong writing skills. Organization and  administrative skills are necessary. You must be a self-starter and able to take initiative.
